Car hire firms National and Alamo launched initial operations in Trinidad and Tobago last week.

The companies’ parent firm Enterprise Holdings said in a press release issued on Thursday that it would be launching first Alamo and National outlets in the Caribbean country via a ribbon-cutting ceremony on the same day.

The venture comes in partnership with Neal & Massy Automotive Ltd., according to Enterprise Holdings, and last week’s launch saw the opening of three initial rental outlets, including Piarco International Airport in Port of Spain, as well as Arthur Napoleon Raymond Robinson International Airport and Morvant in Tobago.

Enterprise Holdings’ franchise operations vice president Jerry Smith said in a statement that his firm was “pleased” to have the opportunity to team up with Neal & Massy. He added that the launch would allow loyal customers of Alamo Rent A Car and National Car Rental to take advantage of renting from trusted brand names in Trinidad and Tobago.

Similarly, Neal & Massy Automotive’s executive chairman and senior vice president David O’Brien said in a press conference with local officials and industry heads that National and Alamo’s launch in the country brings two trusted names to the region, adding that the two car hire providers would offer the “highest levels” of customer service to visitors and area consumers.
