Car hire provider Avis has been ranked as the number one rental firm in Australia.
Car hire provider Avis has been ranked as the number one rental firm in Australia.
The top ranking came in a second annual car hire survey conducted by Canstar Blue, according to a press release issued on Tuesday. Officials said surveyors interviewed 600 patrons that had rented vehicles within the past six months, who gave the company a five-star rating in all but one of the six categories. These included vehicle availability, overall satisfaction, booking process and service.
Canstar Blue’s chief executive Vanessa Brennan said in a statement that the results show that Avis' claim that it “tries harder” has paid off with consumers across Australia. She added that most customers look to Avis for an “enjoyable and stress free” car hire experience.
According to the release, Avis is now the largest rental provider Down Under, with more than 200 branches situated at all of the country’s major airports and at other convenient locations throughout the country.
Avis Australia’s managing director George Proos said that the ratings from the Canstar Blue survey would help give customers confidence when choosing Avis for car hire. He added that the company wished to thank those that voted for Avis and that its employees look forward to continuing to provider consumers with an “outstanding rental experience”.
