Car rental provider Avis has said that US loyalty club customers can now use reward vouchers anytime.
Car rental provider Avis has said that US loyalty club customers can now use reward vouchers anytime.
According to a press release issued late last week, those looking to make use of Avis First weekend reward certificates can now utilse them through special events as well as Christmas and other major holiday periods.
The firm said that the scheme was being “enhanced” to ensure that loyal customers would be able to enjoy full flexibility.
To acquire points toward two-day free rental vouchers, rental patrons are required to enrol in Avis Preferred and must make bookings with their Avis First Wizard number, according to the press release.
Jeannine Haas, Avis’ chief of marketing, said in a statement that the move came as a result of listening to customer feedback. She said that the program now offered more rewards than ever before and that members would be able to use certificates in anytime at of the firm’s 3,300 rental locations around North America.
The announcement follows reports earlier in the month that Avis parent firm Avis Budget Group would not be moving forward with its latest bid to acquire smaller rival Dollar Thrifty.
