Christmas Eve saw car hire brand Hertz announce a major sale.

The news comes via press release issued on Monday, in which officials said that rental patrons can save up to 33 per cent on rentals between 2 January and 30 June 2013 via the Hertz Winter Sale. The promotion applies to bookings made through 31 January for vehicles rented from participating branches in Europe, the Middle East and North America.

Officials from the company said in the release that Hertz offers a wide variety of vehicle choices at outlets worldwide, ranging from spacious people carriers to economical hatchbacks. In addition, customers can also opt for premium sports and luxury vehicles or for environmentally friendly option such as the Nissan LEAF. Moreover, the company offers a number of essential add-on services including child safety seats, GPS devices, mobile WiFi and winter travel equipment, according to the release.

This month saw the rental brand augment its electric vehicle rental scheme with the launch of the Nissan LEAF rentals in Milan, which allows consumers to hire the all-electric model from the Hertz Milano Centrale outlet located on Via Cappellini 10 adjacent to the city’s central rail station.
