British Airways is increasing its number of weekly flights to Toronto Pearson International airport in the spring.

According to the firm’s press release issued last week, an additional three departures will be added to the carrier’s service from Heathrow Terminal 5 on Sundays, Mondays and Fridays.

The move will see the airline’s weekly number of departures to the Canadian gateway increase to 17; the new frequencies will kick-off on 31 March 2013.

Bosses from the flag carrier said in the release that the company will use one of its Boeing 767 jets for the new flights, which features a three-cabin layout comprised of economy World Traveller seating, premium economy World Traveller Plus and Club World business class seating.

The airline said that the move will provide Canadian passengers with increased access to the airline’s growing long-haul route network and top destinations like Rome, Istanbul and Geneva.

Passengers travelling in Club World and Club Europe class can enjoy access to the firm’s luxurious Galleries Lounges in Terminal 5, according to the release.
