Car rental firm Europcar has taken the top prize at the 2013 Business Travel Awards.
Car rental firm Europcar has taken the top prize at the 2013 Business Travel Awards.
Ken McCall, managing director for Europcar UK Group, said in an official press release that he believes the honour comes as a result of the company’s focus on the needs of today’s business travellers.
He said that this customer demographic was “at the heart” of the company’s services and that Europcar understands how important it is for business travellers to have easy access to convenient and efficient car hire services.
McCall added that the BTA recognition was “hugely rewarding” and noted that Europcar enjoys a 99.5 per cent retention rate among corporate customers.
The news comes just after the company announced its January van hire sale, during which consumers can hire vans for rates discounted by up to 20 per cent. To take advantage, customers must make their bookings prior to 31 January for rentals completed by 31 August.
McCall said that the sale would help consumers to “kick-start” their New Year following the heavy expenses of the winter holiday season. He added that van rentals can be useful for a variety of needs, including transporting heavy items and taking unwanted furnishings to the tip.
