Avis opens up Select & Go in Canadian market

Car rental provider Avis has launched its vehicle selection service at outlets in Canada.
Car rental provider Avis has launched its vehicle selection service at outlets in Canada.
According to a press release issued last week, Avis Preferred members can now take advantage of the scheme at select rental locations across the country. The programme allows them to exchange cars within a designated area at no additional fee, upgrade to an SUV or premium vehicle simply by selecting one from their designated area, or simply drive away in their original vehicle, according to the release.
Officials said that Avis Preferred Select & Go programme is part of the brand’s effort to put customers first.
Avis Budget Group’s senior vice president of customer experience, Gina Bruzziches, said in a statement that the scheme enhances the consumer’s overall car hire experience via allowing them to choose a vehicle that best suits their needs. She added that the company was “proud” to expand the programme to include customers travelling in Canada.
The Preferred Select & Go programme is also available at a number of key airport locations in the United States including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago, New York, Miami, Denver, Dallas-Fort Worth, Seattle, San Francisco, Baltimore, Washington, Houston, Kansas City, Portland, Austin and Cleveland, among others.
