New union for hotels and car hire
For the next three years, Avis Europe will carry the job of being the sole and exclusive car rental provider for the European hospitality group, Swissôtel Hotels and Resorts. The two companies websites will be integrated so that you can book a car through the Swissôtel site or a room via the Avis Europe site. Existing Avis customers will be able to earn points in their Avis Preferred scheme just as before.
The deal was inked a few months ago, but full-scale promotion has just come into being. Stephanie Hilgers, director of partner marketing at Swissôtel says, “Through partnerships with selected partners who share the same visions, we are able to offer unique value-adds to our demanding clientele. Until now all our partners were airlines and credit card companies, so we are especially proud to now deal with an exclusive car rental partner.”
Avis is equally hopeful for the project, and Simon Palethorne, the group commercial director of Avis Europe has this to say: “We are looking forward to working with Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts and building on the synergies between our brands. Like Swissôtel, we are focused on providing additional and enhanced services to our customers, together with the highest levels of customer service, across our international network.“
